Now some of this is going to be downright embarrassing. They unceremoniously lifted me up to be weighed and poked and prodded from stem to stern — why, they even gave me a dental exam! But taking my temperature, well, that had to be the absolute worst. All those people were watching!

Yup, I weighed in at 69 lbs. Rose told me later that she weighed in at 74 lbs but then she did always get to the food first. She was a quick one on her feet, that Rose!

BTW, that’s a real dentist checking my teeth, Dentist Charlie! I’m ignoring what’s going on in the next picture…

Can you believe it? They even put a tape measure around my head and my neck, and my chest! They  measured the width of my paws…they even wrote everything down while they were doing it! Honestly, though, did they have to let those kids help? Had I only known…
