We posted about Bosco Bear being released into the Wild Enclosure where Viola and Willow are residing. For the first day or so, he kept to himself and hung out in “his” hemlock tree while the two girls stayed in their oak tree or on their platform. The cubs ate in shifts, with Bosco coming down to eat at a different time from the girls’ mealtimes. Then Bosco decided to go and get acquainted, and this is what happened.
Viola and Willow see the new cub coming toward their platform.
He reaches the tree and climbs up.
He climbs up to the platform and Willow huffs at him.
Bosco approaches. Viola grabs the tree. Willow already went up.
There was a cubby standoff.
Bosco settled down and the two girls left.
Bosco seems to wonder why they left him.
All cubs to their trees!
Viola confronts Bosco. Huffing ensued.
Viola scrambled up the tree.
Viola and Willow came down to forage.
Bosco “showed off” by rolling on his back.
Three cubs went up trees again.
Bosco persisted He climbed the same tree.
Bosco treed the two female cubs. It looked like he was going to wait them out.
But then – he spied a pile of peanuts at the bottom of the tree. Munch, munch!
It was an interesting first meeting between the cubs. It won’t take long for Viola and Willow to accept the third cub and we are sure that they will all be playing together very soon.
