On the Fourth of July, ABR admitted two more COYs, #378 and #379! Both are females, which will balance the cubby population. Due to the holiday, they will be nicknamed Martha Washington and Betsy Ross.

The cub sisters were thoroughly checked by the UT vets who found them to be healthy. They each weighed 15.5 pounds and had very few ticks, which were picked off of them. They are housed temporarily in the Recovery Center, to take the prescribed worm meds. They are separated by a gate for now, but in a few days the gate will be opened, and they will be together again. And as soon as the yearlings are released, all of the cubs (now there are 8 COYs!) will be out in the Wild Enclosures and we’ll see Cubby Chaos reigning supreme! Watch for it!
