With the arrival of #341, India Bear, the cub population is now 8! All of the cubs are seven months old, and are healthy and doing well. Today we offer the Facebook Live program from September 12th, with Curator Janet. The first few minutes are in the Hartley House, and you can see India Bear in action. Compared to the earlier residents of HH, who were, of course, younger when they were admitted, India looks rather large, but at 36 pounds, she is probably about the same weight as the other cubs are now.

Although we’ve been talking about hyperphagia, and how the cubs have started to eat much more and play much less, in the footage that Janet shares you’ll see a lot of pool play and some platform play. Click here to watch, and be sure to listen to Janet’s commentary, which is very interesting.
