On Saturday, April 25th, ABR was represented at the annual Earth Day celebration at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg TN by three volunteers.  They set up a display of bear items such as a skull, a pelt, scat samples, track casts, claw models, and an exhibit of healthy and unhealthy foods for bears.  Games and puzzles were included in the display.  A trifold  board, with pictures showing how ABR provides for bear cubs, was located on one table, along with Bear Safe brochures.  The volunteers were able to answer many questions from visitors, and provide information about bears and ABR.
