Here is the latest news from ABR. First, Tots Bear is returning to the UTCVM for a recheck of her broken front femur. We hope her report is good!
Tots has been eating well and making good progress.We hope the vets agree.
Jackie P is next door to Tots. He has finished his meds and now needs to gain weight. He and Tots have been visiting through the gate between their rooms, so they know each other.
Puff is making progress, and the curators are pleased. She’s eating well.
She walks from one room to the other in The Recovery Center. She appears to have good coordination, especially considering her head trauma. The curators are watching her development.
The trio in W.E. 1 are busy trying to rip up the firehose from the platform. As we have seen in the past, this is a very popular activity.
After racing around, the cubs crash for a nap.
There seems to be a rule that if one cub is awake the rest must be awake, also. Chomp! to awaken another cub.
So now that everyone is awake, what next?
More napping, of course! Duke needed the modesty leaf in his pose.
In The Cub House, the three cubs decided to sleep inside. Shadow is really getting too big for that bowl!
They wait for the gate to open so they can go out and play.
They are trying to dismantle the climbing thingy. They may be released into Wild Enclosure #4 soon, hopefully before they succeed in their destruction project.
