We have photos of all fourteen of the ABR cubs today, and a news item, too! The news item is that one of our newest arrivals, Sundae Bear, has moved into Hartley House! She was displaying behavior in The Recovery Center that indicated stress due to captivity. As you know, she was alone there. So the curators decided to move her into Hartley House, where the Triple Play cubs, who arrived on the same day, are residing. The curators are hoping that these four will become friends. Orphaned bear cubs do better in the company of other cubs. The gate between the rooms is open, but it’s up to the cubs when or if they get together.

It looked like Diamond is maybe getting interested in Sundae.

The Triple Play cubs huddle together Sundae isn’t brave enough to enter their room yet.

She is definitely curious about her neighbors.

Jackie P and Tots are doing well and spending lots of time outdoors in their Acclimation Pen.

They practice their wrestling skills many times each day.

Puff and SuBearu are doing well, too.

They try to beat each other up as often as possible!

SuBearu’s fur is growing in nicely. She will return to the vet next week.

The cubs love to wrestle and wreck stuff.

The first trio are excelling in a number of sports.

Here, two wrestle as the third forages (to prepare for wrestling, no doubt).

One of the trio swims in The Cubby Pool.

These three are climbing, running, all over their enclosure!

Inevitably. a bite ensues. Chomp!

Swimming in Enclosure #4. Cubs are very good swimmers.

But today, they want to swim alone. Get out! It’s my turn!

Ah yes, this is what I want!

Along comes another cub. Get  out! It’s my turn!

After their swim, they have a wrestling free-for-all.

Here is the updated cub chart – who is who, where they are from, how long they have been here, and where they are now.

As you can see, we have three groups of siblings and the rest are singles.

Stay tuned to see what happens next!
