On September first ABR admitted the 14th cub of 2011. This indicates just how poor the mast crop (berries and fruits) has been in the wild this summer. It has been increasingly hard for mother bears to find enough food to nourish their hungry, growing cubs. We don’t know the circumstances of this little orphan, but will pass his story on as we learn it. As you can see from his distress and his thin body, he will need a lot of TLC in order to become the healthy, wild bear that he needs to be in order to be released.
Another hungry mouth to feed means ABR must ask again for your monetary help. We can’t save these little orphans without you! Thank you for caring!
