Here is another photo of little Colton Bear in the Palace.  Curator Coy says that he spends most of his time up on the “jungle gym” that was finished just in time, as the TWRA truck was arriving.  It is the perfect place for a yearling bear.  Yearlings spend much of their time in trees for safety, when in the wild, so this gives Colton the security of being up out of harm’s way.  We are told that he is enjoying  blackberries in addition to the apples.
