Blossom climbs tree

Blossom and Buttercup Bear in Trees

Ever since they were released into the second Wild Enclosure, the two cub sisters have been spending most of their time high in the trees.  That strategy was taught to them by their mother, with whom they spent the first six months of their lives.  You remember that the first thing they did upon their release from the acclimation pen was to scurry up the tallest tree they could find.  The curators report that they are coming down to forage, but don’t like to spend much time on the ground.  When they are up in a tree they are also foraging, for insects on the tree, provided by Nature, not by the curators.  Here are photos of the two up in the trees.  A zoom lens was used to take these images.
