Our two most recent orphaned cubs, Bluebelle and Marigold, were admitted on July 5th. As we posted then, they were in the Acclimation Pen for Wild Enclosure #2, where the curators planned for them to stay a few days, so they could be monitored. However, the sisters had other ideas and their stress at being confined was evident. It’s not surprising, since they had been with their mother, living and learning about the outdoors since they came out of the den with her, probably in April. So the decision was made to release them into Wild Enclosure #2 sooner than later. This video shows them leaving the pen and entering the enclosure, where they seem much happier.
