Crockett is finished with his antibiotics, and will be ready to meet his neighbors when the curators deem it’s appropriate. There has been some interest shown in the neighbor on the part of Scruffy, and a bit of curiosity on Crockett’s part.
The brothers sleep with their Not-a Polar-Bear.
Sometimes they sleep on top of NAPB. Note that Crockett is peeking through the gate.
Here is the view in Crockett’s room. He is a timid little cub, and is closer to Rags’ size, but when they are introduced all three of them will meet at once.
Scruffy is more curious about the neighbor than is Rags. Unfortunately, Crockett was sleeping in his other room when Scruffy was looking.
Scruffy wanted some peanuts, but wasn’t interested in those scattered about. He wanted the ones that were under the pool.
In WE #1, a cub sits on the platform.
Oh yum! Wonderful Tire Water!
A few more cubs, just being bears.
Cubs in WE #2 at the beginning of the day.
A couple of them climb down in the usual way.
But another cub jumps to a nearby tree instead, breaking the rules!
At least the cub descended safely!
Maybe I can do that, too!
Oh my!
Thank goodness! A safe landing for proper descent.
Daybed in WE #3. Cubs arose.
They climbed the tree, one by one.
No telling what it was, but something triggered their “up” gene.
There goes the last cub, up and out of view.
Stick around to see the introduction of the neighboring cubs in Hartley House!
