We check in again on the two newest arrivals, brothers Scruffy and Rags, who are in Hartley House. It is not surprising that the larger Scruffy is progressing more quickly than Rags, who was three pounds lighter than his brother when they were rescued.

Scruffy willingly vacates the room for cleaning, but Rags needs a little gentle persuasion.
While the room next door is cleaned, the cubs eat in their clean room.
Curator Greg removes everything from the messy room. Even NAPB will be sent to The Cubby Laundry for a much-needed bath.

The other room, too, is clean and fresh, including the fresh branches to make them feel at home.
All of the branches, wood chips, and waste products from Hartley House are incinerated, to avoid the possibility of spreading bacterial infections or parasites.
