In keeping with our mission to educate about humans and bears and how the two species can coexist peacefully, ABR volunteers often appear at events throughout the Eastern TN-Western NC area. Here are photos of Joey Holt, tabling at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center in July with volunteer Janet Dalton, and in August with volunteer Albert Earle. They answered many questions posed by visitors to the mountains and informed them how to be safe (and keep the bears safe) while visiting.
Joey and Albert will be back at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center on Saturday, October 9th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If you are in the area, come on out and see these two enthusiastic volunteers at work. Maybe they can teach you something!
