With twenty-seven cubs and a yearling, there’s always something going on at ABR! Here are some scenes that show what the little rascals are up to.

Yearling Spruce has the Recovery Center to himself. The curators have tried to make him feel at home by decorating with fresh cut branches.

He is eating well, and is on a restricted diet to avoid over feeding when he is so malnourished.

Spruce has an Acclimation Pen, too!

Our most recent rescue, Plum Bear, is in the Cub House.

Her appetite is good, and she leaves plenty of tips for curators. FYI: the name Plum came from Curator Greg, who said he’d never seen such a plump seven-month-old cub. Of course, we know that with her mother’s history, she was eating a lot of non-natural, human food.

She wants out!

Even as she soaks in her tub, she looks outside.

She will be out there very soon!

Jellybean chose to attack the plumbing again. He is really fascinated by that pipe!

He is a strong cub!

Another cubs comes to help.

Once he accomplishes his task, Jellybean loses interest and walks off.

The very crowded sleeping arrangements in Wild Enclosure #3!

The vertical den is a novelty.

You can’t go in!

Now you can’t leave!

Cubs get bored easily.

Oh no! Now Peeps is attacking the water pipe in her Cubby Pool!

Fortunately, it’s easy to distract a cub. Thank goodness!

You can see that it was an interesting day, but no more so than many other days with the cubs. Stay tuned.
