Zoo Bears

The Fort Myers, FL Press had an interesting article about the new bear habitat at the Naples Zoo.  While the confinement of animals in zoos is a controversial subject, these bears could not be released into the wild, and the habitat that was built for them is unique and meets their needs.   Occasionaly, an ABR cub cannot be released, and this happened two years ago.  Stone Zoo, in Stoneham, MA outside of Boston, was happy to receive the two cubs as yearlings.  A special habitat was built for them, and they are a big attraction.
