Sycamore Bear is looking much better, and has been more alert and active recently. Here is a photo that Curator Janet took a couple of days ago.

He was not happy to sense her presence in the area. This is a classic “go away” posture and look.

It rained again, but the cubs were out foraging anyway.

Remember, they are in hyperphagia. This means the weather doesn’t matter, they just want to eat!
Several of them slept in trees, and in the morning, they came down for breakfast.
Now to eat!
Here comes another cub.
This makes a good rest stop on the way down.
Here comes another cub down the tree.
Time to forage for breakfast!

As you can see, the cubs are gaining weight as they forage and go through hyperphagia. Their coats are looking good, and they are thriving.
