The Tire Bridge

One of the enrichment features of Wild Enclosure #4 is the Tire Bridge that was constructed during our “no bears” season.  The enclosure cam shows that the cubs really do enjoy it.  It gives them an activity that helps develop their balance and strength as well as keeping them from becoming bored with their captivity.

Willow Bear poses on the tire bridge.

A few months ago, when they were first out in the enclosure, the cubs could come up through the center of the tires.  Not so any more – they are much too chubby now!
