Sleep, Eat, Repeat

Tartan Bear has quite the life at ABR. The three words in the title pretty much sum up his life. In our last post we saw him trying out a vertical den, but he didn’t stay for long. He went on to sleep on the resting platform

We thought that Tartan was an underweight yearling, but this doesn’t look like an underweight bear! He’s filling out nicely.
It’s 2:00 in the morning, and Tartan gets up to grab a snack.
Now he’s munching on something tasty that he found in the tire. Insects maybe? And then there’s that ever popular tire water, too.
He climbs down headfirst, which is not usually a bear’s preferred method for descending a tree.
On the way down, he discovered a good scratching stick.

Next morning, he was sound asleep at the base of the tree.
He woke up. . .
. . . looked around, and . . .
. . . went back to sleep! A lazy day has begun.

Tartan is a growing boy who needs his rest. He is entitled to his food and his sleep.
