Would you believe? The tiny, 3-month old orphaned bear cubs that were admitted to ABR a month ago at 3-4 pounds each, have gained a significant amount of weight already. The first cub, Bobby Bear now weighs 10.2 pounds! The others, a brother and sister, weigh 7.6 and 8.2 pounds, respectively. This rapid weight gain, which would have ocurred if the cubs were still with their mothers and nursing, is due to the rich milk replacement formula that they are receiving.
