Morning at ABR

Comments are off

The frenetic urgency for eating on the part of the cubs has slowed a bit, although the cubs are still foraging and gaining weight. But, for example, on this recent morning, when breakfast was served it was just crows who came to eat.

Crows line up on the fence, but hardly a bear can be seen. Well, there is one over there that the arrow points out.
There are the cubs – still sound asleep!
The red arrow points to them in a corner of the enclosure.
It’s a furry pile of cubs and their parts – feet, noses, nubbins, and ears.
In their enclosure, the Rainbow Triplets are awake and busy. One is murdalizing a sapling.
Attack! The triplets love to pounce on each other.

The cubs in Enclosure #1finally wake up and go to forage for their breakfast.
Dahlia Bear is foraging for her breakfast in Enclosure #4.
When she stands by the tree, we can see how nice and round her tummy has become.

It seems that all is well with the 21 bears at ABR. The yearlings were scheduled for release a couple of days ago, but the release had to be put on hold. However, it won’t be long now!
