More Progress for Tartan

In our last post we told about some recent progress that our yearling has made in becoming comfortable in his Wild Enclosure at ABR. Today we will share even more good news about his adjustment.

After his nap on the ground, Tartan moved up to his favorite branch and took a long nap in the tree.
Down he came with ease when he woke up from his nap.
He hurried to get down, apparently with a specific purpose in mind.
Evidently the purpose was to jump in the middle of a pile of dead Christmas trees!
He wasn’t going after food – it must have been the fun of jumping in the pile of trees.
Next, Tartan climbed up to The Tire Bridge.
From The Tire Bridge he climbed up to the resting platform.
He walked along the resting platform, like a sidewalk.
He showed a great deal of interest in the firehose edges fastened to the resting platform.
Zzzzz – Tartan fell asleep! Later on it rained, and he retreated up the tree to his “safe branch.”

Tartan Bear is familiarizing himself with all the amenities of the Wild Enclosure. What will it be next? Stay tuned.
