King B’s Platform

We have seen how King B (Balthazar Bear) is definitely a creature of habit when it comes to where he sleeps.

He started the night in his usual, favorite spot on his daybed.
Rain during the night had forced him to relocate to his second favorite spot on the platform, right next to the tree.
He decided to take a walk across the platform . . .
. . .all the way to the other side!
When he is on the move around his enclosure, it’s hard to locate him. He had been inside the culvert den, and when he came out, the shaking of the Christmas trees gave him away.

From the photos we can see that in Tennessee it is really starting to green up. Now King B (and the other yearlings) will have tender grass and new leaves to nibble on. These are early spring foods for bears.
