The two female yearlings in Enclosure #4 are interesting to watch, now that Boudreaux is no longer in the picture. The girls don’t necessarily behave in a ladylike manner, as we can see from these photos, but they seem to get along well.

As we said, they aren’t exactly “ladylike” – but after all, they are bears. Bears, whether male or female, play fight as they learn to handle situations that they may encounter when they are adults. Fights between young bears are not serious, and the participants soon forget about it. Before long, Jessamine and Beignet will be snuggling on the platform, asleep.
