Fun in the Snow

That unusual occurrence – a white Christmas in Tennessee – left enough snow on the ground that the cubs had a chance to play in it. Just like young children, the cubbies play and are intrigued with this strange new phenomenon.

Although it was starting to melt, there was still enough for play.
Sassafras seems to enjoy lying in the snow. Her coat keeps her warm.
It’s not hard to tell that Ferdinand was lying in the snow, too.
Ferdinand looks up to (perhaps) see if more snow is coming.
In the Hartley House, Clover shares her bowl-bed with one of the Not Clovers.
Don’t they look cozy together?
Lavender stays warm in her fur coat, while lying in the snow.
The Triplets are ready for the night on their platform.
They are sprinkled with snow, giving them the frosty look.

Now the Tennessee snow is almost entirely gone, but while it lasted, it provided some enrichment and fun for the bear cubs. We may have enough more photos to post another snow story next time. Stick around.
