Cubs Meet Ice!

We’ve had cold and frosty mornings lately, and on one of those mornings, the ABR cubs discovered ice! They went to the Cubby Pool and found a strange phenomenon – the water had become HARD! Like the snow that they experienced a few days earlier, this hard water was something new to them, and they investigated it to learn more.

Look at this! The water looks different.
The cubs are puzzled. The others must come and see.
Reaching down, they test the unfamiliar surface of the water in their pool.
Wow! Look at that! A piece of the frozen water!
Part of their investigation involved tasting it.
They hit it – Bam! Smash! Stir!
One cub took a piece of ice in its mouth, perhaps thinking to save it for later.

Each new experience for the cubs adds to their preparation for their eventual release into the wild. They have learned many new things in recent days.
