It has been snowing since mid-morning, and the cubs don’t mind a bit!
As you will see in this video, the cubs just let the snow fall on them as they rest, and because of the coarse guard hairs in their outer coat that simply wick the moisture off of them, and because the soft, downy undercoat keeps them warm and dry they are as snug as can be. As humans, we would like to see them take advantage of the straw-filled culvert dens, but they are not humans, they’re bears! And bears are uniquely adapted to the winter weather.
