Once again, we report on continuing work on the enclosures, and take a look back at recent history.

Tim McNutt helped our curator pick up the posts from Menards in Kentucky. These are to support the new platforms, giving the trees a needed break.

The load of posts arrived at ABR.

Now for the “look back,” we posted about Hartley Bear, a yearling who was admitted in 2019. Apparently, Hartley had not received instruction about the development of a yearling bear and he showed interest in the female yearling in his enclosure.

Hartley tried to woo Sweetie Bear, but she was not interested.

He persisted, and she changed her mind.

There were late night meetings, in fact so many that Hartley was returned to the wild a bit sooner than expected!

After Hartley was gone, Sweetie became friends with Daffodil.

Sweetie and Daffodil were joined by Iris, another female yearling, and all of them thrived during their stay at ABR.
