Clover Bear

As you know, Clover Bear is in the Hartley House after her recent exam by the vets at UT. They found that she had an infection in her right front wrist and a lesion on her left front elbow. She has been back in the Hartley House for a little over a week, and seems to be tolerating the confinement very well, although confinement is not easy for an animal that belongs in the woods. Let’s take a look at Clover and see how she’s doing.

Look at the feast that awaits her! Peanuts, pecans, bear diet pellets, red and yellow apples, and her meds in a puree of honeycomb and applesauce. Yum Yum!
Clover comes in from the other room to see what she has to eat.
Clover eats some of the delicious food.
What is this? She finds the rock in her water bowl. That doesn’t please our little bear.
Ugh! This makes it hard to get a drink!
She works on removing the rock. She’s a strong little bear cub!

We wouldn’t bet against Clover being able to get that rock out of her water bowl, would you? Wonder what the curators will try next? Stay tuned.
