Boudreaux Bear

Since his relocation into his own Wild Enclosure, Boudreaux has kept busy investigating everything around him. He has made some interesting discoveries.

He found a new chew toy, and seemed intrigued by it.
It held his attention for a few minutes. It was the tie down strap from a tarp that used to be on the Acclimation Pen. Earlier in the year, some cubs worked to remove the tarp.
The chew toy wasn’t good to eat, so Boudreaux moved on, to forage.
This is more like it! Boudreaux found insects, peanuts, and pecans.
Continuing on his foraging mission, Boudreaux passes by the Swingy Ball. This one is in much better shape than the one in enclosure #4. He may come back to destroy it later.

Boudreaux is a healthy yearling bear. He probably outweighs yearlings in the wild by at least 30-40 pounds, the result of his enriched diet at ABR. One thing is certain, when he is released he’ll be well ready to live on his own and take care of himself.
