Bonnie Blue

Bonnie Blue, Ridgeway, and Marvin

Curator Coy was able to get some photos of all three of our little cubs the other day.  We think you’ll agree that they are very cute!  They are growing fast as they eat the nutritious food provided by our curators.

Bonnie Blue

Bonnie Blue Bear

Bonnie Blue is a feisty little cub.  She is “top cub” in the pen, and is usually on the move.  But she sat still for a few moments, allowing Coy to get this picture of her in repose.

Ridgeway

Ridgeway Bear

Ridgeway (of the sucked-on ears).  His sister continues to suck on those ears, and Curator Janet says they always look wet.  In this photo, Bonnie Blue is out of the picture, and Ridgeway’s ears are left alone.

There are moments of peace and quiet between the sibling cubs.  This is one of those moments.

All 3 cubs

All three cubs investigate – ?

The three cubs noticed something and all of them are checking it out.  Curator Coy had no idea what it was that caught their attention.  It might have been some sort of insect, as they often supplement the diet provided by the curators with ants and other insects they find on their own.  Insects are the primary meat/protein source for black bears.
