Beignet’s Daybed

Although the yearlings in Enclosure #4 have become accustomed to sleeping in Jessamine’s daybed or the Acclimation Pen, Beignet decided a third choice was needed. She raked the ground to create a new daybed.

It was 9:30 pm when Beignet made the new sleeping place by raking a new daybed not far from Jessamine’s.
A couple of hours later, Boudreaux came to check it out.
Jessamine joined them a few minutes later.
The three yearlings slept together in Beignet’s daybed.
They were still sleeping at 8:30 the next morning.

It’s good that they are flexible with their sleeping arrangements, since that may come in handy when they are back in the wild. Daybeds are a frequent choice of wild bears in the southern states.
