Bonnie Blue, Ridgeway and Marvin enjoy hanging out at their pool in the Wild Enclosure.  Here are some great photos taken by our designated photographer, Ken LaValley.  The first one looks for all the world as if Bonnie Blue and Ridgeway are calling for Marvin to come and join them!

“Come on in! The water’s fine!”

Soon, Marvin did come to join them.

Marvin is still timid about getting into the water, though he likes to splash around.  It’s almost as if the others can’t understand why he doesn’t get in.  They look so contented!

An interesting fact about bears is that they sometimes use the back of their paw has a “plate” and eat a morsel of food from the back of the paw.

After the pool party ended, Marvin and Ridgeway had a “conversation” beside a tree in the Wild Enclosure.  Wouldn’t you love to know what they were discussing?  Marvin, though much smaller than Ridgeway, is not shy about “speaking up.”
