Inspired by the Florida Black Bear Festival, we are planning our own educational event, Black Bear Expo, which will be held at the Visitor Center in Townsend, TN on Saturday, June 26, 2010.  The event will be during the hours of 9:00 to 5:00 and will include music by Pistol Creek Catch of the Day and Tony Thomas, Appalachian musician, storytelling by 2 retired park rangers, games, exhibits, demonstrations, and a hike.  Of course, there will be food available.
